A rainy future city, a golden signal and a moment of connection. The visual idea behind our LYXAR studio reel.
A short film has very little time to establish a world. In The Last Frequency, our 24.6-second LYXAR reel, the story moves from rain and distance toward discovery and connection. The music gives those images their emotional center.
A feeling before a setting
The premise is simple: two women follow a golden signal. Beyond the rainy city, another world begins to open. The science-fiction setting gives the film its scale, but the emotional thread is intimate: the possibility of finding someone, or something, on the other side of uncertainty.
For us, that thread is what makes the images belong together. A spectacular location can catch the eye. A shared feeling gives the next image a reason to follow it. In a music reel, both should serve the song.
A contrast that carries the story
Cool city light and warm gold pull in different directions. One holds the feeling of distance; the other suggests a way forward. The recurring characters provide a familiar presence as the surroundings change.
We are interested in how a short sequence can suggest a larger story without trying to explain every detail. The signal gives this world a direction; the characters give it someone to follow.
